Hi, I’m Allen.
I am an Ojibwa therapist and LGBTQ‑identified therapist combining lived experience with therapy training. I support clients navigating identity, systemic pressures, and historical trauma through an authentic, person‑centered approach that helps people feel seen and understood. I show up as a real person so you can, too.
I understand that many people feel their goals or future are out of reach, and I’m committed to helping change that. With the right guidance and support, individuals can unlock their full potential and move confidently toward their aspirations. I focus on identifying and nurturing each person’s unique strengths and talents, and lasting goals.
Every person carries a unique spark and an inherent capacity for healing, growth, and self -understanding. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, in which you are seen as the expert on your own life. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you can show up fully as yourself and feel genuinely heard and understood.
Some days, I turn my back to the waves, allowing thoughts and emotions to pass around me. I do not cling. I trust the movement. Like the waters of Lake Superior, I remember that not everything that touches me is meant to stay with me.
Other days, I face the wave directly. I feel its bitterness, its force, its honesty. I plant my feet firmly, not to resist life, but to honor what asks to be seen. To stand in truth is also medicine.
